The PeDe Dienes company began making coffee grinders in Germany in 1869.  An additional facory was built in the Netherlands in 1919.  This model features a ceramic hopper with a red dutch windmill scene painted against an off white backdrop.  The cast iron grinder is embossed with the company name, and features a wooden handle true to its era.  A glass catch cup fits securely beneath the mill providing the ultimate coffee making experience from the turn of the 19th century.
